Art Has No Limits
We speak one language: Fashion
A new Cross
East or West, we all share the same earth. No matter how different our languages are, or how different our cultures are, we all share the same spirit of humanity and art. No matter where we live, art is still the same language we all speak.
A brand-new concept of collaboration is coming from Moonlight Concept, bringing east and west together to play a new tune in the fashion world.
"Art Has No Limits" is a captivating tale about art, nature, and cultures that begins in Colombia and ends in Qatar. Even though we speak different languages, we are united by one language: art.
A special dialogue between the Andean mountains and the Qatari dunes.
Mrs. Mona Al Kaabi, Mr. Agustin Nicolas Rivero, Ms. Juanita Garcia, and Mr. Andres Restrepo Arango
The four designers have met and a new fashion story is told.
Our profound Qatari heritage has always been our source of inspiration, and this time our heritage has inspired others. Three creative Colombian fashion designers, each with their own artistic vision, were fascinated by this rich history and its artistic aspects. Our creative director, Mrs. Mona Al Kaabi, gathered and collaborated with them to create a unique collection. This is where Colombian and Qatari culture are infused to produce a distinct form of art embodied in distinct designs. This collection reveals how nature is deeply rooted inside us and never fails to inspire us starting from colors to the fabrics used.
There is an interplay of Qatari heritage inscriptions and Colombian history and nature in this collection, leading to a vibrant work of art.
Art has no limits
Authentic works of art can convey nations heritage and history, a total experience of humanity throughout time. In this collection, two different cultures' richness are translated into garments.
Each design is a timeless piece that has the spirit of nature inside it. Eco-friendly hemp silks, cashmere, velvet, pure silk, linen and cotton fabrics are used in this collection. Earthy and vibrant colors are used and some are derived from tree leaves.
Additionally, many different techniques are used such as embroidery, mola, crochet or patching. Each stitch is a work of art that exudes innovation and creativity.

A New Cross
The Fashion Designer Agustin Nicolas Rivero
I am a publicist by profession and designer by conviction. I have been doing clothes for 14 years, 10 of which I have been the creative director of my own brand A NEW CROSS. I understand clothes as the minimum habitable space that shelters us, as well as communicating who we are. In this way the textile that composes these architectures in itself becomes a large memory container.
When I design, I establish a dialogue between two worlds; the artisanal and the contemporary. I do not create artisanal handicrafts even though my pieces involve a high manual rigor, as well as a profound respect and admiration for crafts and artisanal traditions. Instead, I seek to open spaces of co-creation with the artisans I work with, to develop new forms of understanding the crafts based on its knowledge and the contemporary view that characterized my projects.
My design ideas are based on my travel experience where I explore and search for techniques, stories and materials that become the prologue of a story that is completed when the final user treasures a piece that went through many hands. Being a pinion of a gear that collaborates in the direction and takes decisions of a product that stands out not only by its design characteristics, but also by the relevance of the message that it hosts.
The Fashion Designer Juanita Garcia
Juanita Garcia is a self-taught fashion designer, raised in a family of dressmakers. However, her beginnings were far away from the creative world. Passionate about development and convinced in the power of business to alleviate poverty, she studied two bachelors in Political Science and Finance and a Master in Social Entrepreneurship. Her dream was to create a project where she could merge financial skills with social awareness to serve vulnerable communities in Colombia. The idea of Priah came in 2015, according to Juanita’s words: “I was struggling to find myself useful to society. Lost in my critical mind looking for a job related to my background. Then, suddenly my mother was diagnosed with cancer and everything that was a priority for me before, changed. Priah was born as a therapy to help ourselves to overcome our pain and in the meantime to help other women artisans going through their own struggles. Priah was a gift of life. We needed a reason to keep going and this project gave us a light and a roll. I was in charge of designing simple blouses so my mother could easily sew them and my grandmother decorated them with some crochet. Grandma introduced me to other talented women who were not able to live from their craft. Suddenly we were doing fashion with a purpose. I understood through this process that the biggest challenges and difficulties always bring an opportunity to go deep in our souls and find who we are and what we are made of…”
The Fashion Designer Andrés Restrepo Arángo
I am a proactive and creative person with leadership skills. Well trained as an artist and designer that has marked a sensible side and rationality towards life, which in its turn helped me to understand reality and to propose actions that affect it in a positive way and thus achieve changes.
My entrepreneurial experience led me to understand the power of ideas and building an ideal country can be achieved with collective work, where everyone is accountable.
For more than a decade, I have led projects that have been showcased and exhibited during important events outside of Colombia. That's how I led projects with institutions external to my venture performing as an advisor and teacher.
